The sucess of this fantastic gift will be determined by how well the administration manages it. Excellent generous gift!

The college will have to pay for maintenance, insurance, upkeep, security, etc., for this large facility, and given WLU's current financial condition, that's a very tall order.

Boxer, WLU is a public school, and as such is a political subdivision of the state of West Virginia. This exempts it from real estate taxes. Gary West is one of the school's most successful alumni, and his continued support of the school is impressive.

Does anyone know what the real estate tax exposure is/or will be to WLSC for this acquisition? Does the college pay real estate taxes?
