NY Times; "night of fun on Aug. 11 might have taken a grim turn, and that members of the Steubenville High football team might have been involved. Twitter posts, videos and photographs circulated by some who attended the nightlong set of parties suggested that an unconscious girl had been sexually assaulted over several hours while others watched. She even might have been urinated on.

In one photograph posted on Instagram by a Steubenville High football player, the girl, who was from across the Ohio River in Weirton, W.Va., is shown looking unresponsive as two boys carry her by her wrists and ankles. Twitter users wrote the words “rape” and “drunk girl” in their posts."

"At 1:38 a.m. on Aug. 14, the girl’s parents walked into the Steubenville police station with a flash drive with photographs from online, Twitter posts and the video on it." Seems more like 36 hours from rape till going to police... They could have done a rape kit check.. This was vicious and so

bummer boys, anonymous is watching you.they may become your monitoring devices.they may be some of the smarter people from the schools[unlike these football dorks].vengeance will become more common as our government continues to let us down.makes me wonder what will happen at the next big red football game.probably a lot of football players in wrestling also.anonymous can probably sign up more people than what they'd ever need.i might make a donation to the cause.

Appears that the whole thing is blowing up in some red faces. GOOD! About time that football takes second place to school learning.

if this was my daughter they would be prosecuting me.cnn said last night that a drinking party was at the head coaches house.the adults supplying the liquor should all be arrested.obviously a crime has been committed and the football team doesn't know how to sweep this under the rug.too much info out there.

Funny they are talking about the girl being 16 years old, when she was actually 15 at the time of the incident! Makes a huge difference in the "eye" of the law.

Since these boys took nude photos of the young girl without her permission, and sent them over the internet, that might legally constitute child ****. We hope federal law enforcement will consider getting involved.

Judy Jones, SNAP Midwest Associate Director, USA, 636-433-2511. snapjudy@gmail****, "SNAP (The Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests) is the world's oldest and largest support group for clergy abuse victims. SNAP was founded in 1988 and has more than 12,000 members. Despite the word priest in our title, we have members who were molested by religious figures of all denominations, including nuns, rabbis, bishops, teachers, Protestant ministers and increasingly, victims who were assaulted in a wide range of institutional settings like orphanages, summer camps, athletic programs, Boy Scouts, etc."

Abdall definately didn't explain his lack of involvement away very well. On the other hand the Anonymous group appears to be vearing away from it's original cause in questioning the character of the Sheriff. Get the girl justice then worry about the cover ups, alleged corruption in law enforcement, etc. Just my opinion Anonymous don't go searching through my dirty laundry. LOL OOPS I SAID TOO MUCH ALREADY

Abdulla, Hanlin & Reno all should be held accountable...along with countless others. McCafferty is the sheriff's puppet. Poor Jefferson County Officials...just want this to go away.....and it just keeps getting bigger! Thank you Anonymous!!

"If there was a cover-up, why were two people arrested?" said the sheriff. "This investigation isn't over. I saw the video. It's disgusting."

If you saw the video why were ONLY 2 PEOPLE ARRESTED???

Police Chief Bill McCafferty "In order to take any case to trial you have to have evidence."

Isn't a 12 minute video of a criminal describing his involvment in the crime an hour after committing it enough evidence to charge him and bring him to justice??

"Jefferson County Prosecutor Jane Hanlin recused herself and her office from involvement due to potential conflicts."

By "POTENTIAL CONFLICTS" does prosecutor Hanlin mean the victim and several other underage students including her son drinking at a party held at her home the night of the RAPE????
