Richardwhee, this PW requirement still does ensure that projects bid out do indeed go to the most competent and cheapest contractors. Prevailing wage applies to both non-union and union companies so it is a level playing field for all. It's all about making sure these corporations stay compliant with Ohio's Revised Code. I commend the Jefferson County Commissioners for being proactive instead of the usual reactionary nature heeded by politicians.

All work performed for public projects should be performed by the most competent and cheapest contractors; Union or Nonunion. Now there is too much politics involved.
