OMG just another slap in the face here in Wheeling !! They move meeting so no one can attend, then they spend thousands of our dollars on a new chamber and wow how about them new chairs hope there hinnies are comfy, would'nt want them to be too uncomfortable sitting in them for a what total of approx. 2 hours a month !!!!!!!!!!! I know we complain alot about how dis-concerned these elected officials seem to be but this really takes the cake, all that money for ABSOLUTELY NO REASON WHAT SO EVER !!!!!!!! Come on people I mean ok you want to move meetings to another part of the building for safety concerns but why spend $160,000.00 dollars doing that for crying out loud its just a room not a new addition or wing JUST A ROOM, and againg used only hours a month !!! ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTY THOUSAND DOLLARS - ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTY THOUSAND DOLLARS naaaaaaaaaaaa you see why IMFEDUP !!!

Wow, in these times when the average Joe and family are doing without, the powerful just really like to stuff it in your face. Personally, I like a good old wooden oak straight-back chair to sit on. Those cushy pleather chairs are horrible for your back and within two years, they will all need to be replaced (because they are junk). I guess that 160 grand could not have been better spent on, the new water treatment plant? Upgrading a few feet of water or sewer lines? replacing one or two of those 100 year old valves in the system? Bravo to the designer and contractor! It sure do look purty!

I thought the meetings were at Undo's Elm Grove????

How are those water lines doing?

How about the parking meters up 14th Street targeting residents and CCHS students???

How about the ever increasing and costly city police force, all the while population plummeting???

Can't we exploit Oglebay Park in any other destructive way?

How about all that new business migrating into Wheeling???

How about all of that green space created by tearing down buildings???

How about crack alley(between 14th and 15th)/the crack American Legion on 15th, the crack 7-11, the crack Adult Book Store, the crack whorehouses up 15th, the crack sellers openly selling on Jacob, about all the crack?

What about the increase in child abuse???

Is there any other way this money could have been spent to improve the city? I can't think of any.

u guys are a joke. The city of Wheeling looks like a war zone with all the vacant buildings. The mayor who ever he is, has done nothing to promote what ever small businesses are left in the city. The City Council and Mayor should all be fired.
