I worked in the RG Steel Building and it wasn't unusual to glance out the window and see a shower of feathers falling from the falcon's prey. A co-worker on the floor above me used to actually see the falcon take a pigeon in flight...glad I never actually witnessed that. The dismembered pieces of birds were bad enough on the sidewalk outside the building.
One co-worker actually got pictures of the bird on the ledge of the top floor...amazing! We've noticed a drop in the pigeon population coming to forage below our bird feeders...at least the falcon is keeping the nuisance bird population down!

One was eating off my bird feeder for a couple years. I haven't seen him this year. Two years ago one chased a small bird into my garage. I caught the small bird and let it go but the falcon took awhile to figure out how to get out.

Hefner - Most in Wheeling were hoping you were taken away like one of these pigeons. It was sort of sad when we found out you left for Florida out of embarrassment.
How many times must you be proven wrong before you just shut the heck up?
Loser.

I am relieved to find out that Falcons are the culprits. I was concerned that Ozzy Osborne had moved to town.

that falcon would die if he bit one of those infected politicians.

"They are keeping the bird population healthy. They take out the slow ones, the dumb ones and the ones not feeling well, Perrone said of the raptors and their prey."
Now if humans only had something of this nature to weed out the slow, dumb of the species. The Democrat party would be decimated!

Perhaps this is an omen. The bird senses the death of the city. This is a smart bird. Run,run and save yourselves. Flee to PA or Oh , but get out of Wheeling.

As they remove these old buildings the pigeons are losing their homes. Lunch time for the falcons.
