Not my kid, my kid wouldn't do that. Join PTA and get involved with volunteering at school, and at very least you will witness a bunch of back biting women. Stay at home moms attacking working moms arent there to help or for their kids, criticizing them driving SUV's, working moms making resentful statements about those who do not "have to work". Women are the worst about this. The children have just not risen to the ability to do it behind the others back. Ever attend a kids softball game and hear the parents? They need a time out.

Can't agree more with bloomin. Especially about the parents not even rocognizing what they are doing is bullying. But our society has become more self-centered with every passing day and parents are teaching their children to be that way by the parent being that way.

I know from personal experience and from many other people's accounts that the school system failed them. Bullying was reported, but never truly investigated. Ofcourse the bully's friends will say that s/he doesnt pick on Suzy. And how many times is it said, "well so-in-so is such a good student, I just can't see him/her doing such a thing".

This is tragic and becoming too common. Today, youth seem to have more access to lethal means, regardless of cause.

Parents are often at the root of the problem. They may tell their kids bullying is not ok, but the parents do it themselves. I am amazed at the way adult women compete with each other and put others down, make fun of, and cause drama-in pta, social groups, work environments, etc. They do not even recognize that what they are doing is just a more sophisticated form of bullying that is going on in schools. These parents have the social skills and are manipulative enough to cause damage, and they are modeling for their children. I have seen parents attempt to bully the coach, dance instructor, etc in an attempt to get their kid special attention. Wake up parents. Bad behavior breeds bad behavior.
