Ugly whines again: 'We should also throw all of politicians off of welfare......Why are they on government health care? '

Politicians in the Federal Government are government employees. Thus, they can choose to participate in Federal Government Health Plans. There are a number of such plans and a choice is up to the individual, usually based on a family's particuliar needs...it's fair pricing with decent alternatives. IT IS NOT WELFARE ! It is NOT free! All participants (including Congress) must pay, via payroll deduction, for being in a health plan just like the lowest ranking Federal Employee.

@ugly whines: Force the the health insurance industry to offer fair rates with real services. These companies make hundreds of billions in profits a year. Insurance is over priced ..

What you are wanting is happening. It is called the Affordable Care Act (ACA) or as the common folk call it...'ObamaCare'

some people whine all the time and are constantly off to the ER or doctor's office.they think that they are dying when they have a cold.insurance shouldn't cover these people.if they have to pay the whole bill they'd stop.even the welfare people.

UAF: Since you believe all profit is obscene or "ill-gotten gain", ask yourself this: Where would the government be without it?

We should also throw all of politicians off of welfare. as enator or congressman makes a minumum salary of 172 grand a year. Why are they on government health care? I think they can fend for them selves.

I have a better idea. Force the the health insurance industry to offer fair rates with real services. These companies make hundreds of billions in profits a year. Insurance is over priced and the deductibles are so rediculous most people don't use their insurance because they can't afford to after they pay the monthly premium. It's more like death insurance so the caregivers can't put a lean on your property after you get sick and die because their is no preventive care. Surely these companies can be regulated so that they offer a fair service for the price and still make a hefty profit.

"A major worry for states is that deficit-burdened Washington sooner or later will renege on the 90-percent deal. The regular Medicaid match rate averages closer to 50 percent. That would represent a significant cost shift to the states."

What is the difference between a federal tax payer and a state tax payer?
