WASHINGTON (CBSDC) - The results of a new study indicate that suicide rates among veterans in the United States are increasing.

An estimated 22 military veterans take their lives every day in America, according to the study helmed by Robert Bossarte, an epidemiologist and researcher who works with the Department of Veterans Affairs.

“While the percentage of all suicides reported as Veterans has decreased, the number of suicides has increased,” the conclusion of the study stated

OK this wasn't a suicide but close, clearly a LOT of troubled vets.

A Marine Reserve with a record like Eddie Ray Routh would seem like a good candidate for armed guard in American schools, as suggested by NRA.

A whack job like Waterbuffaloedwhiner would be a good candidate for a mass school shooting as suggested by the fact that virtually all mass shooters recently were libbies.

Yes, I'm sure an elementary school is going to hire a veteran (unfortunately) suffering from PTSD!

Exploit a tragedy to make a political point.

Idiot!!

The Seals have been around a long time but ever since Obama came in to office, they have been front and center and way, way 'over-publicized' 'glorified', and 'glamourized'. Navy Seals are a special breed of soldier that should go back in the stealthy shadows (as they were prior to Obama administration).

Any Seal, whether retired or serving, should know that over-exposure has its consequences. It is a very, very dangerous world, including the United States.

Obama, is a very subtle and crafty individual himself and he is doing a marvelously wicked job of undermining our nations defense....and now our right to keep & bear arms.

(Anyone see the recent photo of Obama shooting a rifle?) I tell you a truth, the guy is slicker than 'slick 50'.

Concerning the Seals (both retired & serving), I recommend they go in to the deepest shadows, avoiding the public eye (TV & books) as much as possible. This is part of the cost of being a Seal.

Nam vets were treated badly when they came back. But unlike today, there was a draft and people weren't sent back again and again and again. Todays military men and women may have to keep going back to the war/police zones until they are pretty much used up.Never allowed to have a victory. Just Endless un needed Wars by the Military Industrial Complex to make stockholders rich at the expense of the nation and our finest young people. This has been going on since Nam. It probably won't stop until our nation falls.

One reason returning Vietnam vets were treated so badly is because one of their officers publically testified before the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee that our vets “had personally raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power, cut off limbs, blown up bodies, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan, shot cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks, and generally ravaged the countryside of South Vietnam in addition to the normal ravage of war, and the normal and very particular ravaging which is done by the applied bombing power of this country.”

Obama just made that officer our next Secretary of State.

Kyle was always recognized at events but would deflect attention to other veterans, quickly introducing and praising those around him.

“That camaraderie is usually missed once the veteran gets out of the military,” said Cox, himself a former Marine sniper. “The authentic relationships that you develop in the military, especially overseas and in combat are some of the most meaningful, authentic relationships that one can have, and it’s missed. And so we tried to create a means through this group of veterans that can gather and talk about things that they’re dealing with.”

“He (Kyle) didn’t have any fear at all as far as working with an extreme case,” Cox said. “Just like in combat he would take it on head on and do whatever he could to give these guys assistance. There was no fear in helping anyone that may have an extreme case. He was willing to help anyone in need.”

Kyle died doing what he loved, helping other vets work through and deal with their PTSD

" Insurgents shot down a U.S. military helicopter during fighting in eastern Afghanistan, killing 30 Americans, most of them belonging to the same elite unit as the Navy SEALs who killed former Al Qaeda leader Usama bin Laden, U.S. officials said Saturday. It was the deadliest single loss for American forces in the decade-old war against the Taliban."

Many in the military believe this was retaliation hit for the bin Laden raid. Dumba&& Obama and Joe Biden were so quick to run to the microphone and take credit for THEMSELVES while naming Seal Team 6 by NAME, it exposed them to much more RISK than necessary.

This team was CREATED by Ronald Reagan after the Carter Disaster and until BIG MOUTH DEMOCRATS got in the White House, they were a GHOST.

Thanks Opie, 30 dead Seals.

STFU!!!

I hate to burst any of your dreams about a war zone, but in every war there are also murders, rapes and tortured people that have done nothing but be in the area at the time..Nam just brought it into the nations homes from the TV set that didn't happen in previous wars..My Father, a highly decorated Vet from WWII never spoke much about being in the war. Not until lately.Being in his 80s he knows not much longer to be here. When going into a combat zone you just kill anything that moves, unless they are one of your buddies...Nam was an unjust un needed war that lined the pockets of the same companies that the Iraq war did..

Veterans for a Strong America:

The commercial shows former Sec. of Defense Robert Gates saying: "We all agreed that we would not release any operational details from the effort to take out bin Laden, [but] that all feel apart the next day."

The commercial then shows VP Joe Biden standing behind a podium, speaking on May 3, talking about "the Navy SEALS" and "what they did last Sunday." After the Obama administration released exactly what they pledged they wouldn't, Vaughn contacted his mother and asked her to scrub any references to him or SEAL Team Six from her social media. He told her there was a mark on his life and that there could be one on his parents' lives as well.

The camera focuses on Aaron Vaughn's mother and father, sitting with photos of their son and the flag that draped his casket in background. Vaughn's mother speaks: "How dare they? They put a target on my son's back. And... a little over ninety days later, my son was dead.&quo

" . . . .It is believed that many of these men were the ones that brought Osama Bin Laden to justice. This is a double tragedy. First, the loss of any American fighting personnel is tragic. Second, SEAL Team Six is the best of the best! Replacing them is difficult at best and probably impossible.

The Taliban has taken credit for this kill. I suspect that they were tracking SEAL Team Six ever since the OBL event. How did the Taliban know who did the OBL job[?] Vice President Biden told the press[!]

He blabbed [about] a top secret op in the open to the press to look good! This moron is a danger to the security of America not to mention the lives of American fighting personnel."

UK Telegraph:

"Here's a typical response to a question about the SEALs from a senior defence official in a Pentagon briefing on Monday:

QUESTION: Can I ask you, can you confirm that it was a (Navy) SEAL team? And was this a specially designated team that had been practising or reviewing intelligence for a while and they were the unit of choice?

SENIOR DEFENCE OFFICIAL: Not going to comment on units or numbers.

But here's what the legendarily verbose and loose-lipped Vice President Joe Biden said at a dinner at Washington's Ritz Carlton Hotel last night to mark the 50th anniversary of the Atlantic Council:

Let me briefly acknowledge tonight’s distinguished honorees. Admiral James Stavridis is a, is the real deal. He can tell you more about and understands the incredible, the phenomenal, the just almost unbelievable capacity of his Navy SEALs and what they did last Sunday.

Gluela&& is legendarily CLUELESS as usual.
