Cleaning Up McGraw’s Mess

February 5, 2013

Darrell McGraw’s tenure as West Virginia attorney general was one in which he ran the agency in some ways not as part of the executive branch of government but as his own little kingdom....

McGraw’s gross misuse of public funds has to be illegal. Criminal charges should be pursued.

Look at our governor, biker1891, who has steered $3 million in taxpayer money to his family's greyhound business. Corrupt? You bet.

Yes, we kicked him out of office, but in no means would I kick him in the ribs and head when he is down like this editorial does.

He loses, and then his wife gets canned (not by coincidence, in my opinion), and Morrisey has to continue his campaign? Out of Martinsburg and not out of Charleston?

How about a story about how the new AG will increase protections for the state's consumers and small businesses instead of continuing to try to give the former a heart attack.

Why was it necessary in the first place? Did the news story not reach enough people for you?

@NegativeEllie: reason being, the State’s Residents should know what to expect from a sociopath like McGraw and the cost and effort it takes to restore some type of order; The families he has looted, perjured and displaced while turning the State UpsideDown into a suicidal population over his 20 year crime spree, I'm sure that Mr. Morrisey along the article’s writer are just reassuring the public that he’s aware, that he's coming and don't hurt your families or yourselves until someone can take a look. I personally wouldn’t want Dirty Darrell to have a heart attack, I want to at least see him prosecuted in a Federal Criminal Court and they can hang him afterwards.

Characteristics of a sociopath (Dirty Darrell) are as follows :

1. Sociopaths are very charming. 2. Sociopaths can be extremely manipulative and will try to con you whenever possible.

3. Sociopaths feel that they are entitled to everything.

4. Sociopaths will lie continuously to get what they want. They can even sometimes manipulate a lie detector. 5. Sociopaths have no remorse, shame or guilt.

6. Sociopaths will show love and happiness only when it serves their purpose. None of the feelings are genuine.

7. Sociopaths have no room for love in their life.

8. Sociopaths need to have excitement in their lives or live on the edge.

9. Sociopaths have lack of empathy hen their victims suffer pain that they have caused.

10. Sociopaths believe that they are all mightier than tho, there is no concern on how their behavior impacts others.

@WWUthinking - Then I guess they should have written the articles - with proof and not speculation - while the man was in office. We voted him out. He's done.

I read no mention of a possible prosecution within this story. If that's where this is going, then shame on the reporter and the editor for being so wimpy.

@NegativeEllie: Most likely why the editor and writer chose to release the commented opinion in the Opinion Section. The article though not very exacting on time and date but in a grasping at straws for a condemned innocent individual is at least a silver lining of an extremely dark and dangerous low fling cloud that for years has threatened their disrupted and restricted everyday existence. I wasn’t too awful long ago that a couple of “All Rise, the State Attorney General would like to Address our meager Court” following colleagues were whisked from Our WV Supreme Court (Spike Maynard and Brother Warren McGraw). NegativeEllie, how long have you been in West Virginia? No reply is necessary but the Office of AG has been suspect for years, proof was hard to come by with all the political posturing and when someone has prior knowledge of exactly who has the disqualifying ball and when it will be tossed, like in the kid’s playground game of dodge ball.

WWUthinking - My entire life, and I have been well aware of the issues with the AG's office. Never voted for McGraw, either.

I just miss the days when this newspaper had some class. It's gone, and so is the subscription base.

@NegativeEllie: yes, all my life also. You didn't really have to vote for him anyways; He went around the law or just disregarded what the courts ruled while taking lobbyist money in one hand and telling police and some prosecutes their criminal actions were justified (bad-stop, Illegal search and seizure, dui consent, vehicle and home seizures)(they voted for him), hence the jail & prison overcrowding problems and more police than after the 30,000 additional troops in the 2006 Iraqi surge(haha); what is the average officer to city resident 1 to 20? Maybe 18? Someone said he put his house up for sale and is in hiding, maybe on the run, who knows the US Marshals Service can find him anywhere on the planet when he’s needed, lousy domestic terrorist and traitor to and of the American People if you ask me, I probably wouldn’t be picked for the jury anyways.
