GETACLUE "I have worked in the security industry previously and currently work for a company that also provides ARMED SECURITY OFFICERS"

Wonder what your employer thinks about you announcing to all potential troublemakers that his company's guards are only for show?

Or are you baiting criminals to a trap so you can make a name for yourself, as you stop them with your firearm?

Here is your typical Allied Barton Employee:

"Suits filed in fatal Proscenium shootings

1:39 pm, April 6th, 2012 The husband of a woman allegedly killed by a security guard last year as she walked through a Midtown parking garage, along with two more women who survived the alleged shooting spree, have filed suits in Fulton County State Court. The three complaints accuse security company AlliedBarton of continuing to employ Nkosi Thandiwe as a guard at the Proscenium even after he had “assailed” a courier with racial epithets in the weeks before the shootings, and later came to work showing off an unpermitted handgun he’d recently bought at a pawn shop.

Thandiwe faces 11 criminal counts, including felony murder, for the July 15 shootings that left Brittney Watts, 26, dead, and paralyzed another woman, Lauren Garcia. The third victim, Tiffany Ferenczy, was shot in the leg. All three women worked at the Proscenium, across the street from the garage."

I have worked in the security industry previously and currently work for a company that also provides ARMED SECURITY OFFICERS for banks, drilling operations and industrial settings as well. the ALLIED BARTON POST ORDERS clearly state that the presence of a side arm is for deterrence only and it is not to be drawn in an attempt to stop a crime from being committed. ANY ARMED EMPLOYEE THAT DOES THIS WILL BE DISMISSED. Sorry daWeeb you not only can't handle the TRUTH YOU DON'T KNOW THE TRUTH SO STOP MAKING UP YOUR OWN FACTS!!!

Col. Grossman is right about cutting down on the violence that kids, in particular, are exposed on a weekly basis. Showing violence as a glamorous thing or an acceptable solution to problems is not a very healthy message to send out night after night to kids submerged in media. While many worry that the "gun lobby" may be able to thwart any effort to curb gun sales, the more likely problem will be that the entertainment industry and its stars who make millions selling violent behavior to kids will be able to protect its golden goose and keep selling shootem up movies. The connection between politicians and news/entertainment people is just as unholy and perhaps even more negative than is the gun lobby to certain legislators. Seldom can you sit through a movie or TV show without having not so subtle political remarks being offered up in the plot. Gun laws might have some short term effect, but curbing the sale of violence by the media is the long term solution.

Once again you have daWeeb MAKING UP HIS OWN FACTS!!!! Sidwell Friends (Quaker) Christian school in Washington DC has a security staff of 11 but no where does it say they are ARMED. REPEAT NO WHERE DOES IT SAY THEY ARE 11 ARMED SECURITY STAFF MEMBERS.

Tell ya what, unhinged Clueless, here is a homework assignment:

• Find some banks in the area with armed guards.

• Run inside quick waving a semiauto and scream “I’ve got a gun!! I’ve got a gun! I want some customer service!”

• Report back to us next week. Or we will just watch the headlines of the NR.

Armed guards at banks are just customer service?..... Pretty much correct on this one. ARMED BANK GUARDS are pretty much for show as they are mostly employees of a security firm and are under orders not to shoot and to just OBSERVE and REPORT. In fact at one company I know of if you draw your weapon you will be dismissed from employment.

Sounds like Grossman is another cave-dweller type. A xenophobe afraid "they're coming." ("ha, ha, he, he, ho, ho to the funny farm where life is wonderful all the time and they're coming to take me away..."
