The last 3 cars I have bought brand new since 2006 were between 3500 and 5000 cheaper in Pittsburg including trade. What does that say about local business? Just had a great day in Pittsburgh. So many nice people, good food, entertainment, and it rejuvenates me before Monday so I can deal with the road rage people here who are mad because they cant get their 10 minute drive in less than 5 minutes. Thats NUTS

Youpeoplearenut-I like your screen name too. I understand your love for Wheeling. For many, I think there is a comfort here regardless of the criticisms. I have not had the opportunity to move away and would like to primarily for a better climate. I dont hate wheeling. I have a long history with many people here-dentist, hairdresser, drs, pharmacist, plumber, etc. Not much family here, and best friends have moved away. There is a certain comfort here, like knowing I can be anywhere it about 10 minutes. I buy almost nothing here though. Pittsburg has much better items, service, and attitude. I can change lanes and manuver through lanes going thru ft pitt tunnel w/o incident. Here, can pull off street or out of gas station w/out nut job 100 yards away laying on horn. There are a lot of very angry people here. I deal with them with humor and assume they are having a bad day/life. To survive here, must lighten up. Some drink or gamble for entertainment, others read posts.

Youpeoplearenuts-I think you are kind of right, not sure what entices you to read the posts, probably some deep seated mental illness like the rest of us have developed. Really-I think people just have to find humor to deal with the day to day life here. Not many sunny days, not much good going on, and humor is a healthy defense mechanism, so as goofy as some of the posts may seem, I wouldnt take them too serious. I find it a bit like reading the comics, and I know I am not here to impress anyone with my intellegence, evidently, nobody else is either.

I love this city and I'm very grateful to be from Wheeling. I too have the Wheeling Feeling! And I enjoy being able to say my children will to do the same. Moving away was my dream as a high schooler, coming home to Wheeling after being gone for awhile made me realize there's no place like home!

I'm not sure why I even check the comments anymore. My hope initially was to see honest heartfelt comments, or posts from intelligent people making rational comments. Some of you people are complete fools. I encourage you to quickly seek professional help. Maybe they can salvage what's left of your insane brain. I also think moving somewhere else and experience what actually goes on in other areas would really help your not normal behaviors and attitudes.

In Wheeling a loony 'huffer' stumbles into a drug store for free drugs and gets told to hit the road. He does. haw haw haw!

In Southern California (wraith's imaginary nirvana) another assault gun armed nut bag cop is on the prowl to kill other cops and their families. Everybody is in a panic and rightly so. Be afraid. Be very afraid!

Which place would you rather call home?

tdolan, specifically what in int’s post was “racial”?

Did you see the part about “wearing a re-elect Obama T-shirt” as racial? People of all races supported Obama.

Did you see the “talking on a government provided track phone” part, or the “on his way to a church for his next free meal” part, as racial? Those phones are given to people of all races, and churches provide free meals to people of all races.

There are too many people seeing “racial undertones" where there are none.

This is what gives West Virginia a bad name. Not only is the druggie out of drugs his drugs are out dated. This is just plain ignorant.

You mean to tell me that with the amount of police presence in downtown Wheeling, they "scoured" the area to no avail?

Maybe the FOP can use this episode to request that the taxpayer fund the staffing of even more cops, cruisers, motorcycles, Spiders, and bicycles for the metropolis of downtown Wheeling..... :)

Not exactly sure what the NR writer considers "unconventional" about a robbery attempt whereby the perp passes a note to an employee demanding cash, pills, etc. ????

.....the robber has been described as a human, with hair and eyes, approximately 6 ft tall and wearing a re-elect Obama T-shirt. He was last seen talking on a government provided track phone on his way to a church for his next free meal.
