You have no sense of humor. He is a nice guy and these things happen. If you can't have a little fun, without resorting to being offended on every side, then that is just sad. The fact that it is a Public Defender's office, means that you MAY (smirk inserted)have a greater chance, more so than other types of offices, (or Kroger), that a person with questionable intentions may come into your path. Also, while you have secretaries in your office, not every office is set up to where the secretaries may babysit your goods. Honor systems are great and important, but I still think this is a funny story, and it was intended to have a little fun. whgfeeling, be glad you have access to the comedy central station since you don't like my humor. Hope you have a pleasant day just the same. ;o)

Didn't say he had an appointment or the attorney left him in the office, it said he went into the building, into Wellings office, and secretaries found him there. He fled.

I leave my purse in my office-dont expect someone to come in off the street, get past secretaries, grab and run.

Sorry-it could not have happened to a nicer guy.

Panepento-even a criminal is lucky to escape from being represented by this dirt bag.

Here's a story everyone can have a little fun with, although Shayne really is a good dude.

Ok, I think maybe it is time for a smaller wallet, or bigger pockets! If you are leaving your wallet unattended in the PUBLIC DEFENDER's office,...aren't you kind of,..well, ...never mind you are just willing to share with him. Maybe his new attorney can argue entrapment, that they were enticing him. Glad they got the wallet back, and please for the love of God,...keep your car keys in your pocket! haha PS we have all done stuff like that,..acted too trusting at some point so don't feel too bad! It is nice that you are still so trusting after all your cases! Keep fighting the good fight~ :o)
