February 11, 2013

CHARLESTON (AP) — Dozens of West Virginia public schools have armed law enforcement officers, but the December massacre of 20 first-graders and six adults at a Connecticut elementary school has......

Oh sorry Clueless, they HIT their target 28%, YES TRUE.

Assuming that students are being fired upon, I'll still go with the armed teachers since lots are dead FOR SURE without opposing fire.

BULL*** Cluela&&, in field combat firing, police and military MISS their target with 7 out of every 10 bullets.

That is why civies need semiautomatic weapons, they have LESS training than police and will miss more.

BIOYA!

Maybe you should start arming nurses in the maternity ward at OVMC. How about McDonald's employees that clean the indoor playground in Elm Grove? What about the baseball umpires at little league games? And don't forget the cashier at Toys R Us.

POLICE OFFICERS are TRAINED PROFESSIONALS that are REQUIRED to QUALIFY with their weapons multiple times yearly. Yet when OFFICERS are in a LIVE FIRE INCIDENT THEY HIT THEIR INTENDED TARGET (SHOOTING SUSPECT) WITH JUST 28% OF THE SHOTS THEY FIRE.

It is UNBELIEVABLE that some here want to arm TEACHERS. HOW MANY INNOCENT CHILDREN WILL BE KILLED BY "FRIENDLY FIRE"? I say if it is only one child then it is too many, and it is not worth risking it just to find out!

Notice that the lastest gunman, Christopher Dorner, ex LAPD and now police killer is a FLAMING LIBERAL.

Big Obama Supporter, Big on GUN CONTROL!!!!

Notice how quiet the mainsream press is about him.

{Damn}!!! A LIBERAL who supports GUN CONTROL against CITIZENS is the latest mass killer!!! SHUCKS!!!

ALL of the mass killers recent have been liberals.

Maybe make school zones a NO LIBERAL ZONE will fix the problem????

This is a very complicated issue. The worst thing is a knee jerk reaction by the legislators. Something does need to be done though to stop the targeting of our children in schools. Allowing teachers to be armed may be the best answer so long as it is voluntary and the weapons are CONCEALED. Putting a cop on duty in every school will bankrupt the country.

The pro police state anti-second amendment people who run our local school districts are the PROBLEM not the solution!

Belmont county for example wants to hire 17 new resource officers at a staggering cost to taxpayers when simply RESTORING the constitutional RIGHT to carry BACK to all school employees would cost NOTHING!!

The police state liberals keep using language like "we don't support arming teachers" or "we don't want to put guns in the classrooms"

It's not THEIR call!!

The second amendment GUARANTEES all free people the RIGHT to bear arms EVERYWHERE!

What they WON'T admit is that EVERY school shooting is a DIRECT result of them not allowing school employees to defend themselves!!

This makes the school LIABLE for their safety!

And you can put all the armed guards you want INSIDE but during a bomb threat EVERY child will be OUTSIDE in the open!

What will they do then?

Short of making every school look like the Moundsville pen, this can't be fixed

Any school employee holding a concealed carry permit should not be prohibited from taking a weapon onto school grounds. Who is going to protect the children from an armed intruder? It's not going to be those armed only with good intentions.

impact, Triton didn’t say the President SAID we can't be trusted with guns. Triton said the President is THINKING we can’t be trusted with guns. And when the President’s stated “Plan” specifically includes “a new, stronger ban on assault weapons,” and “Limit ammunition magazines to 10 rounds” that says loud and clear that the President doesn’t trust Americans with those guns and those magazines.

Look at Barry Ogungrabber's own website for a dose of reality.

Triton, you're on something. Whe did the President say that we can't be trusted with guns. NEVER! Yoiu think you're the moderate voice of reason, and then you make a statement like that. You people are out of touch with reality!

In the world of guns and gun control there seems to be no middle ground heard from, its always something bizarre from the no guns to the more guns the better. The article talks about the National Guard handling the threat to schools which seems a bit excessive, do we need to use the Army to protect the schools? Is this a banana republic where the military and police are the same thing? But then we got a response that is one of the most bizarre things I have seen in a long time. The cops are the threat, and we the schools should be set up like Stalags with gun ports and guard shacks. Elementary schools. Fascinating. Just when I get outraged at the President thinking we cannot be trusted with guns, I see something like that and understand that there might be something to that.

Most LA high schools have security comparable to major airports!

• Closed campus, only a single point of entry/exit

• Metal detectors at entry point.

• Plain clothes armed guards mixed among the staff.

• Without it, there would be gun fights between rival gangs every day in class.

Unwanted visitors? Faaghettaboutit! The students would be more heavily armed!
