"Among the other initiatives Obama is proposing is a $1 billion plan to create 15 "manufacturing institutes" that would bring together businesses, universities and the government. If Congress opposes the initiative, Obama plans to use his presidential powers to create three institutes on his own."

Yeah oldfart, Bush <5% unemployment instead of Chronic 8%, Yearly deficits like 2007 = $162 BILLION, less than MONTHLY deficit under Owebama$, 24 million on Foodstamps not 49 million under Owebama$, 43 consecutive months of GDP growth unmatched by ANY president including "Blue Dress" Clinton, etc. etc.

Bush was the good old days.

THIS is a {bleeping} disaster.

Another day, another $6 Billion in debt for every man woman child and another NEW 11,250 apply for food stamps.

After watching the SOTU speech last night I can come to only one conclusion and that is: The President must think he is speaking to a nation of ignorant rubes. Well, maybe he's right!

You might want to make that firearm purchase asap.

Ohh the price of Diesel fuel is >$4.00/gallon.

How can the American trucker cut a decent living when he is spending > $800/day in just fuel?

I don't blame people for giving up and going on public assistance in these times. When I sit down and tally up my expenses for the month it is depressing.

Goosemaniac, "folks needing assistance"

of course they do... I have watched a grocery cart of normally purchased food items go from $100-$200-to now ~ $300 under Mr. Obama's rule. Why? Do these folks really need assistance ?

Wheezerdawg, then WHY does Obama need to do everything by Executive Order bypassing the legal means of CREATING LEGISLATION?

Maybe more restrictions on CRAZY PEOPLE and GUN OWNSHIP, but NO SERIOUS LEGISLATION will come out of his second term.

Wanne put some money where your muzzle is, Wheezer?

According the latest BLS statistics, employed labor force, in Jan 2008, Bush last year, there were 146,407,000 people with jobs.

In Jan 2013 there were 143,322,000 people with jobs.

So that is 3.085 MILLION fewer working people in 2013 verus 2008

BUT BUT BUT Obama CLAIMS that he CREATED 4.5 Millions jobs.

The ONLY CONCLUSION: 3.085+4.5 = 7.585 million jobs LOST under Obama in 4 years.

In January 157,000 new jobs were created but 169,000 LEFT the job market.

Numbers don't lie, an average of 158,000 jobs per month LOST under Obama.

And the population of the country went UP 10 MILLION during that same period = how many NEW workers could not find jobs???

OBAMA: FAIL!

Until last night's State of the Union speech I figured gun legislation was a non starter for the rest of his term. However, his comments on the subject coupled with the presence of those who had been impacted by gun violence seems to have breathed new life into the effort. His statement, "they deserve a vote", put a great deal of pressure on Congress to at least bring a bill to a vote in both the senate and the house. Even if the vote is negative the message was that each member of Congress should have the courage to state and stand by their position on the issue.

GotNoClue- I'll attempt to answer your one relevant question. Approximately 10,000 boomers will retire everyday for the next 18-20 yrs. I don't care if a retiree didn't save money for their retirement. They paid into SS and will get what they deserve. I'm a baby boomer d-weed. I take and took care of myself. With 48+ mill on food stamps and 8.8+ mill collecting disability--let em go. Survival of the fittest. If your union skrewed you, I don't care. NOW, I answered your question, so can you explain to me what "low hanging fruit" is; if its different from what you dangle in gooseman's mouth

Obama is like cotton candy. All big and puffy which when you squeeze out all of the hot air, all that remains is a golf ball size of something of no value at all.

And Boehner, maybe last night we witnessed Speaker Boehner finally dropping a pair into his sack.

"He claimed that "we have doubled the distance our cars will go on a gallon of gas." Actual mileage is improving, but Obama's "doubled" claim refers to a desired miles-per-gallon average for model year 2025."

Beelzebub also faile to mention the price of a gallon of gas has nearly doubled since he took office. And, he doesn't care that gasoline expense for the average family is equal to about 8% of the budget.

Beelzebub lied again:

Obama touted the growth of 500,000 manufacturing jobs over the past three years, but there has been a net loss of 600,000 manufacturing jobs since he took office. The recent growth also has stalled since July 2012.

Fact Checked:

The president claimed that "both parties have worked together to reduce the deficit by more than $2.5 trillion." But that's only an estimate of deficit reduction through fiscal year 2022, and it would be lower if the White House used a different starting point.

Beelzebub lied!

Fact Checked:

Obama said the Affordable Care Act "is helping to slow the growth of health care costs." It may be helping, but the slower growth for health care spending began in 2009, before the law was enacted, and is due at least partly to the down economy.

Gooseplagiarizer “’When Obama entered office in January 2009 there were 31,939,110 Americans receiving food stamps. As of November 2012—the most recent data available—there were 47,692,896 Americans enrolled, an increase of 49.3 percent.’ Seriously? Gee ya think that this has anything to do with more folks needed assistance?”

Duh! Gee ya think FOUR YEARS OF HOPE AND CHANGE did ANYTHING to fix that economic disaster?

So it’s four more years of Obama failure, but whining “but BUSH!” STILL makes that failure excusable?

WHERE ARE THE JOBS, BARRY? Pathetic.

Correction: So the REAL Obama deficit in the first four months of FY 2013 was $367.6 BILLION.

And that's an improvement, Barry? Seriously? That’s what you get when you elect a President who hasn’t signed a federal budget bill in FOUR YEARS. Now GET TO WORK and PRODUCE A BUDGET, BARRY.

And get your "facts" in order, Gooseplagiarizer.

Gooseplagiarizer “Through the first four months of the 2013 budget year, the deficit has grown $290.4 billion. That's nearly $60 billion lower than the same period a year ago.”

YOU LIE. According to US Treasury data, the National Debt at the end of FY 2012 was 30$16.0662 TRILLION, and at the end of January 2013 was $16.4338 TRILLION.

w ww.treasurydirect.g ov/govt/reports/pd/mspd/mspd.htm

So the REAL Obama deficit in the first four months of FY 2013 was $367.6 TRILLION. At that rate, we’re on track for ANOTHER TRILLION DOLLAR PLUS ANNUAL OBAMADEFICIT.

Make up all the fake “hopey-changey” numbers you want, libbies. The FACTS are your Failure in Chief is on track for another four years of same-old same old. Pathetic, Barry. Now PASS A RESPONSIBLE BUDGET, BARRY.

Gooseplagiarizer, digging through a mountain of copy-dumped Obamacrap desperately seeking a nugget of corn.

“The Treasury Department said Tuesday that the government took in a surplus of $2.9 billion in January, helped by nearly $9 billion more in Social Security taxes.”

So when Obama RAISES SS TAXES on the middle class, resulting in $9 BILLION in additional “revenue” to prop up the SS Ponzi Scam a little longer, and the total suplus from that $9 BILLION TAX INCREASE is STILL only $2.9 BILLION, meaning we’re STILL $6.1 BILLION in the hole on everything else, that’s a GOOD thing? Higher taxes on the middle class and we’re STILL bleeding red ink?

Pathetic, Barry. WHERE'S THE BUDGET, BARRY?
