Unlike the dozens of illegally "lifted" pick up trucks in the area, semi trailers actually have rear impact guards

The illegally "lifted" pickups have no such bumper and would in fact decapitate someone in an accident like this!!

Seems the State police and Highway Patrol are too busy doing drug busts to worry about the illegal pickups so this will eventually result in needless traffic deaths and vehicular homicide charges

Although I agree with you Uncommonsense to a certain degree, the number of accidents and deaths you refer to, pale to the injuries and deaths caused by drugs and alcohol.

Both of you-- All mentioned are uncalled for. Did you ever try backing out of a parking space with a jumbo P/U truck on either side?????

Hope they are both okay. Does anyone have any local news to update this story?

@UNCOMMONSENSE. You are wrong about dozens of illegally lifted trucks in the area. First of all the State Troopers or Highway Patrol "Does Not" inspect trucks. They have a special inspection sticker for lift kits and inspections are done at inspection stations. If they see a truck that is illegal it is there job to pull it over. You must live in Ohio as they have no inspection and you can see that by the junk running around on Ohio roads and streets. You must also think pulling trucks over is more important than busting drug sellers, buyers, and users of drugs. Your thinking makes no sense at all. And by the way, if a truck runs over a person and kills them, it is "NOT" the trucks fault, it is the drivers fault unless something went wrong with the truck to cause the accident.
