Too many chiefs not enough indians is what has happen to schools. Build a solid foundation of reading, writing and math and the student will grow. But, as you can see too many administrators want to come up with ideas of modern math, and end to writing and English is just left to letters in a secret code (LOL) to use this in understanding basic instructions. Schools need basic leadership not creative learning in educations.

Not only the WV Board should be cut. Many on the county boards are just drawing their pay. Local Schools- too too many assistants to assistants. We can see by the results compared to the rest of the country just who is doing what. And it's not good.

The W.Va. Dept of Education staff should be cut by 80%. Let local school boards run their schools, not fatcat bureaucrats in Charleston.

one thing i've seen through the years is that the further up the ladder these educators go the less they know about running a school.when a teacher leaves the classroom to take a job at the board office all of a sudden they seem to have forgotten all about how to conduct a classroom.i think that they have a medical device in the board office that ***** the brains out of all administrators.i've seen administrators that couldn't make a pimple on a teacher's butt.i've seen really good teachers that i felt would make good administrators but want nothing to do with those jobs even with the huge pay difference.good teachers are frustrated by not being able to teach in a way that they know works.their hands are being tied and that should never be the my opinion board administrators don't know what to do next.another hand tying for another day.good teachers are creative people and administrators aren't.collect your big check and let the teachers do their jobs.
