Expect southern West Virginia politicos to strongly oppose any measure that keeps money in the counties where the gas is extracted. Their primary concern has always been to find an ever increasing amount of new ways to rip off the northern part of the state to support their pork barrel waste down there. Plymale and his rip off artists will use every trick at their disposal to expropriate our resources.

Just this past year they funneled $25 million to Marshall University for a redundant and unnecessary engineering complex while at the same time requiring every family with a college student in the state to to pay higher tuition and making higher education absorb a 7.5% funding cut.

Northern West Virginia is the location of the most valuable shale reserves, but we are going to need more than luck to be able to retain what should be spend here as a result of that.

I think the Futures fund is bogus and will only benefit POLITICIANS. Yes Alaska does have a similar fund, but they also send each citizen a yearly check, their share of the revenue profits. Any WVa, Pa or Ohio plan that does not give back directly to each citizen is a bogus plan and only benefits politicians who get to determine where the money goes. Crony-ism!
