no elected official today deserves even being considered for a raise.you all are losers yet you think that you deserve a raise.they must not have known what the jobs paid when they ran for them.with the shape that this country is in i would never ask for a raise.greed at it's best.

Democrat Delegates Miley and Manchin, both lawyers, sponsored these pay raises to Judges they will be arguing cases in front of. The bill flew out of Chairman Miley's Judiciary Committee to be fast tracked. Nothing like a little legal grease. Republicans do not think elected officials should get raises costing nearly $1 Million per year when leader Thompson tells us we do not have enough money to fix the roads and may need a gas tax hike!

Delegate Faircloth is right. We MUST hold them responsible for not doing what is best for the people. The decades of putting special interests first is coming yo an end. The voters will remember.

"Is this the way this session is going to be, all year?" House Majority Whip Mike Caputo complained. Yes, Mikey. You may no longer be able to get your way all the time.

Poor Caputo just can't understand that W.Va. actually is coming close to having two parties. He liked that one-party rule the Democrats have enjoyed for the past 80+ years (and look how well that's worked out for impoverished, uneducated West Virginia!).

YOU GOT WHAT YOU ASKED FOR!

THE "HATE-FILLED"/"FLAT EARTHERS" that voted straight Republican this past November, hail from the very Counties that Magistrates are crying for equal pay.

Great time for the Republicans to introduce new standard of ethics in the behavior of government at city , county and state level. Start penalizing the cities and counties for failure to perform to the Ethic Commission Standards with greater fines until they can pass a Sunshine Review with at least a B. Too many mayor and government employees are being caught and fined by the Ethic Commission just the tip of the bad government. The different levels of governments are not doing their job or they are part of the problem. More fines and greater penalties might get better government from both parties. Create more work for the Magistrates to earn their pay.
