Lie #1 was that the school was complete when the students moved in. The meetings to determine who was at fault were to be public...lie #2. The results were to be made public by the end of February....lie #3. Lie #4 will be the report itself.
The fault ultimately falls to the BOE because they are the ones elected by the people to represent us. That point of public schools has been lost as the majority of BOE members feel they are there to support the county administration. This project has shown that the administration can not be trusted and are incompetent. They do what they wish with taxpayers money as there is no repercussions. And over 3000 citizens just gave them an additional 16 million + dollars to waste. What were they thinking? Hopefully the new administration that takes over July 1st will be different but there is very little hope of that as it is almost assured another good old boy's club member will take over.

No blame? In the real world, a contractor who turns in late/shoddy work pays a penalty.
However, since most of the elected officials (including BOE members) in this area have low IQs and no achievements to speak of, taxpayer funded contracts tend to cost three times as much and take twice as long as a comparable project in, say, a business to business transaction.

Is that John Miller in the photo? I believe it is and he taught trigonometry at John Marshall HS when I attended there in late 80's. He was a good teacher with a dry sense of humor and I would laugh like a lunatic at his jokes. How funny to see that pic and remember it. I hope he's doing well!

THIS IS JUST ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF UNCONTROLLED SPENDING. ANOTHER EXAMPLE IS HAVING "triple dipping" RETIRED TEACHERS WHERE THEY GET THEIR SOCIAL SECURITY PAY, THEIR PENSION PAY AND THEIR INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR PAY FOR 1 DAYS TEACHING, WHILE OUR NEWLY GRADUATED TEACHERS HAVE TO WORK AT MCDONALDS FLIPPING BURGERS. IS THIS FAIR?
