The city budgets a $1 million cash carryover each year so that they can claim a $1 million surplus? If you are too stupid to understand this, there is no hope for you.

Wheeling's population declines each year. Spending increases each year. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that this means an ever increasing tax burden for the remaining saps.

Government feeding itself on the taxpayers lunch money and it makes you think they are eating burger when they really are eating steak.

One important question in regards to the budget. How well financed are the pensions?

Ya they took the 55K to settle the lawsuit against the city PD out of the coffee can of petty cash. Think they might teach what the law is so they could avoid draining their coffee fund. More waste of taxpayers money.

City employees get a raise every few years except department heads. They continue to run this city like a business. And like typical business egos, they feel the CEO should make 2-3 times what the other employees make.

I can't believe that so many employees are paid over 70k, including war mouth, who must get paid by the loss. Lost kotson suit and KFC suit. Probably should get a bonus.

Time to put a hold on all raises. If SS could only give a 1.7 percent raise why would you give anything greater. Part of that went to pay health care raises on Medicare. Government spending needs to be cut now. The cash cow is almost dead like the cascino.
