That $2 billion he stole for his family would make a nice downpayment on keeping the country solvent. Too bad it's gone to Switzerland and other safe havens.

That firm control is not nearly as solid as it looks. Lots of unhappy people there, and Colombia is not at all happy with Chavez' handling of the FARC and other criminals that ran across the border for escapes.

Hugo is dead, and his hand-picked successor has the charisma of a lamp post. With a mounting problem paying for all the socialist fun stuff, it will be interesting to see how long the new guy lasts. More to the point, how long the giveaways to Cuba and the rest of the Lefties running places like Equador and Bolivia will last. Daniel Ortega (remember him?) is biting his nails about the possible collapse of his economy without the freebie oil.

There was no question in the 80s who was boss, it was Uncle Ronnie. George 41 was a good trooper then, just wandered back to the blue blood country club side of the party once he won.

lesson here, of course, political in nature. You can pick your friends and you can pick your nose. The problems start when your friends insist you pick their nose.

The lesson here, of course, is that he who aspires to greatness, acquires vast wealth and earns great reknown still dies. No one gets out of here alive. No one.

Venezuela's youth are the real winners. Those too young to know of or remember the dictator president. The old folks who have drank the liberal koolaide will still be in a stupor.

duhRAT - 'Liberals must be in morning, fellow Socialist Hugo Chavez is dead.'

The correct spelling is 'mourning'. But, what else could we expect from a product of Ohio state schools. so sad....too bad.

Actually, you - DuhRAT - have much in common with Commandante Chavez....you both hate Obama to an illogical excess.

To the people of Venezuela, may I suggest a replacement?

How about Michael Bloomberg, Mayor of New York?

Liberals must be in morning, fellow Socialist Hugo Chavez is dead.

Lucky Obama got elected, Hugo recommended a Vote for Opie, I'm sure that was a big factor in his victory here :)!

Wasn't he the one who said he smelled sulphur when George Bush spoke?

Rot in }-{ell you miserable twerp!!!
