Maybe The Intelligencer / Wheeling News-Register could start putting a ethics and open meeting articles everyday to educated the public. You know the government does not want to do the job. WV Ethics has a lot of information to show the public in regards to meetings and case of public officials violations. Government needs to be held to a higher level since those holding office is a public trust to represent and not to dictate.

The same goes for West Virginia public meetings. Too many Executive Session with no comments or excuse. I guess maybe it is because maybe a lot of the politicians never learned to read and got elected with x's. Time to start holding our government bodies responsible for their actions and come up with fines for failure to follow the law even if they have to have the law read to them.

I apologize for speaking off-topic, but I feel compelled to comment on another article in the paper. It is about the fact that the unemployment rate has declined significantly. If this paper had been reporting a significant rise in national unemployment I feel almost certain that there would have been an opportunity to comment on the article. Kinda makes you wonder if the WI is biased, Naw, they are fair and balanced.

City and county governments do this all the time around here!!

Why do you think they put in all that un constitutional security in the city buildings and court houses?

The more corrupt the government, the more they need to protect themselves from the people!!
