once the "officials" get their hands on a dollar it disappears like magic.no matter how much they really have it'll never be enough.they are a greedy bunch.everybody pays and they grab.

"Please turn off your cellphones" and "DESTROY AND HIDE THE LIE DETECTOR MACHINE"
Couldn’t have a Budget Meeting with all that ringing and buzzing, possible flashing lights and sprinkler system activation due to Lie detection system overload.

Government being what it is, will officials be there seeking to expand their agencies? In an area with a declining population why is that? Why do county offices need to expand every year? In the past elections we were told that energy and the Highlands have made us so well off, but there seems to be no return to the taxpayer on the "windfall". Perhaps its not there afterall. I do not recall a single property tax rollback from the Highlands or gas. How can you have that much commerical property and no tax reduction to homeowners? Government seems to embrace the role of the parasite bully. We saw Marshall County BOE gobble the new tax assessemnt revenues, and in OC we see the BOE wants to gain $500K by shutting off the library's stipend that we voted for in the last levy. The taxpayer can never catch a break, but in the elections they are all going to lower taxes, create more jobs and provide heaven on earth. More cousins on the payrolls.
