This reads like the U.S. Gov Budget. With a few exceptions- It's just one Give away program for some pet projects.

$50k for directed police patrols in East Wheeling? You have got to be kidding! Wheeling is a cesspool of mismanagement. If one wanted to portray the real hicks of West Virginia, they should swap "Buck Wild" for the Wheeling City Council.

Like I have previously stated, The State HRC is more powerful than the City HRC, are very accessable and helpful. And more importantly, city politics do not take priority like they do here in Wheeling.

It's so noble of the "leaders" to allow the volunteer board to continue to operate with even less enforcement authority than before.

Here's an idea: How about the mayor, vice-mayor, city council representatives and all of the other city "leaders" operate on a volunteer basis. Then they too could feel good about themselves by serving others all-the-while saving the taxpayers a boat-load of money. Or do you think their altruism would stop when the paycheck ends?

As much as I respect people who volunteer their time to assist others, anyone who stays on the volunteer board after this slap-in-the-face move by the city leaders would be foolish.

$58,500 a year payday for the director of a volunteer commission. A commission that handles less that 10 cases a year. Things that make you go hmm.
