Delegates pass legislation to make failure to buckle up a primary offense in W.Va.

March 29, 2013

Nice turnout here by the freedom people but that stuff is pretty predictable. Here is something you can do for fun, whenever you are out driving and are passed or see people driving with no seat belts, notice how nice their car is. Or if they are also smoking and if there are kids in the car ready to launch through the windshield of their $500 car and inhale cigarette smoke like minnies in an aquarium. I don't care if morons with points on their license or previous DUIs can afford a real car, and I don't care if they choke to death on their cigs, but we should not neglect the health of the kids cuz all cars have seat belts. The story about the crack head having kids in a total trash house got the standard punish the skank remarks but I would bet she doesn't wear a seat belt either and she smokes around her neglected kids. "Stupid is as stupid does:-F. Gump. If you don't wear a seat belt you are not a freedom fighter, you are an idiot.

does a bear take a crap in the woods? yes, it still can even in W Va...but soon if a human does the same thing he will be given a large fine for not using an approved facility...with all the ways coming for our Govt. to track everyone's every move don't be surprised when taking a crap will cost a Govt. fee also.

Nobody paid me for my vote. If you feel you need to vote me out then so be it. As I stated in the floor, I have dealt first hand with a head injury for 13 years, and I would not wish anyone to go through that pain. You can't possibly understand unless you live it. It's a $25 fine and no points - risk whatever you want - you wont go broke or lose your license, but I hope your poor family doesn't have to see you like that. And, I blog using my real name.

Not against seatbelts. Have been wearing long before it was "politicaly correct" to do so. What I'm against is Big Brother forcing me to do something that commonsense tells me I should.

"Your freedom is going to cost me money" said Miley.

Eating fast food and super sized sodas makes you fat. Kids eating too many calories in school makes them fat. These add to health problems which is going to cost me money because my health insurance rates are going to go up.

Tim Miley, what else are you and Democratic friends Obama (school lunch mandates & Obamacare was supposed to let us keep our doctors and coverage and lower premiums - now GAO says our "insurance rates are going to go up") and NY Bloomberg (with his millions being spent on soda bans and anti-gun ads) what else are you guys going to make us do because you 3 stooges say it is going to cost you money? Mountaineers are always free until Miley and Obama and Bloomberg say

Yet ANOTHER example of a CORRUPT and TYRANNICAL government trying to FORCE driver to do what THEY want!!!

If I decide NOT to wear a seat belt, I am causing NOBODY any risk of injury except MYSELF!!!

And making it a FIRST offense is simply an attempt to ratchet up the police state so that cops have yet ANOTHER bogus reason to pull you over and start their un- constitutional "fishing" expeditions!

The ONLY reason seat belt and helmet laws even exist is because of MASSIVE bribes paid by the insurance lobby!!!

EVERYONE who voted for this needs to be THROWN out of office!!!

West Virginia, home of the best politicians money can BUY!!!

As some of us are aware in business you often need to search for income streams. This is no different.

Wraith is dead on. This is the equivalent of forcing a motorcycle rider to wear a helmet. If you want to splatter your brains all over the concrete, go right ahead. The gene pool could use a little chlorine from time to time.

Just another "Revenue Enhancement" for government to profit from the Nanny State Tyranny over your life.

Sure Seat belts WORK. They SAVE LIVES. No Argument from me.

The problem is, do I give a rat's behind about the some drunka&& hillbilly who is too stupid to wear one?

NO! Let them prove Darwin correct and eliminate themselves from the Gene Pool 'cuz dey is STUUUUPID, Mon!!
