April 6, 2013

For the past couple of decades, West Virginia governors and legislators have done a truly magnificent job of worrying about what will happen to our state after they leave office....

The WV governorship and the legislature has been a cesspool of corruption and greed since the state was founded, and it will continue to be as long as the voice of the public is muted by the star struck and incompetent media.

The Lord taught us not to worry. It is a waste of time and worry changes nothing. The Lord also taught us to love one another as He loved us. Putting these words into practice just doesn't happen anymore...

WV received an "extra" $1.5 billion from the feds in 2009...Money has been spent on many wasteful programs (look them up on the WV recovery site) and now the feds are not willing to keep sending the "extra" funds! The state will have to make adjustments.

BTW, the feds sent money (borrowed) to the states to fool the sheeple into thinking we were recovering from the melt-down.

Bishop Bransfield is asking Gov Thomblin to go forward with the Medicaid expansion citing the health care problems that exist in WV. The Bishop's point of view is one of faith and caring for one another while the editor of the newspaper drums the usual right wing philosophy of those with means get the goods and those without, too bad. I know my faith and belief is more like the Bishops than this editor.

It is possible upwards of 1/3 the population of WV will be on Medicaid with the new plan. That is 1/3 of the votes. It WILL be installed asap.In addition it is a huge cash cow for the docs and hospitals;a formitable lobby in WV.

The Editor does not seem to understand: WV is a welfare state.

WWU I think they were listed as "Saddest Cities" based on a personal well-being scores of the residents.

Bad news all around.

And Ohio was in the bottom 5 on a lot of scores as well, BTW.
