What is cruel and unusual is that we have to look at these nut cases and waste time and money listening to there pathetic whining. If you are going to go around assaulting people you can not expect the conveniences of law abiding citizens. Do the crime, do the time.

Yep, I believe they were treated differently.Look at Nidal Hassan who shot up his fellow soldiers on base. He is OBVIOUSLY a terrorist. He was caught redhanded comitting TERRORISM,yet the government is trying him as your everyday workplace shooter. That dude should have been pushing daisies a year ago. But there has been no trial yet. Why? These Amish people are ***** cats compared to Nidal Hasan. I think the government should stay away from religious crimes or they should go full bore dealing with them.At least BE CONSISTENT.

These appeals are typical legal mumbo jumbo, searhing for some flaky Federal judge who may be sympathetic. The live in the US, they must obey the same laws as the rest of us. It is not unusual for prisoners in the Federal system to be sent to separate facilities. The idea that they get to cluster up with Old Man Mullett in prison so he can continue his rule of them is preposterous. One thing this case does have though, unlike many other terrorist cases, is that people are not really very concerned with the victims or even the people he would have been terrorized if not prosecuted. These men need to do their time. One nice thing about religious views is that it really does not require a cult leader to worship, the Amish can serve God where they are, no need to worship the Mullett Man, he is just another prisoner.

Had this man been charged and convicted of rape, then I think everyone would agree that the punishment should fit the crime. In this case, I think the punishment exceeds the crime. Just my opinion. But hey, I posted a comment on here a few weeks ago and someone who disagreed with me actually asked his "God" to*****me. "God****you Spanky' were the words used. Is that a religious hate crime? Hmmm?

It is not cruel and unusual punishment, but would seem so to many of these Amish. Sam Mullet raised his family in a twisted way, to depend upon him for their every need. That's how he gained power over this small group of Amish. I know hundreds of Amish from different areas that have no use for Sam Mullet and his group of thugs. They should be all kept locked up for the maximum legal time. Glad they were put away before actually murdering someone.

we were all standing around rubbing our heads at that point.it took them all of about ten seconds with the clippers and it was gone.if mullet was raping the others wives then i'm sure that one of those husbands would have put one on him.
