Do you really believe that a person's medical history should be in the public domain. It would have to be to be part of any background check. Everyone that kills someone is insane, it is just a matter of degrees as to how insane. Sheriff Crum's murder, if anything, was a copycat murder. Serious and constant enforcement of the gun laws we have will solve the problem. How about 20 years imprisonment for even being in possession of a gun, without a permit, while committing any crime, and knock off five years if you do have a permit.

Maynard could get the death penalty for his heinous crime.

Do you think a pizzant gun law would have stopped him from getting a weapon if the DEATH PENALTY did not dissuade him??

Ronald Reagan has been quoted over and over again about how he supported much stricter gun laws. Reagan could not get elected today for anything. The extremists would call RR a liberal!

10 to one says the shooter was taking prescribed drugs...How will another background check stop this? More gun laws will lead to more gun laws will lead to no guns allowed in the hands of anyone not in the Govt. Cuba 1957. Mr. Martinez was there. Listen to what he says if you want the truth. So many sheep will be slaughtered. But in the end the goal will be one... The govt. will be safe from the peoples guns.

This is an easy one. It is illegal for anyone who has been adjudicated mentally unstable to purchase a firearm. The current background check system checks for that. It's misinformation like this that leads to misguided legislation. Either that or pure idiocy.
