Government + Business = Debacle. It doesn't matter who is President or which party controls the House and Senate, there is NO ACCOUNTABILITY!

They will continue to subsidize the post office, amtrak, etc with our future tax dollars. During my one experience with government bidding, a bureaucrat responded to a question about supplying back up drives this way: "We don't know how much they cost, but we know what we pay." 'Nuff said.

What happpened to the huge Draconian actions that were going to happen IF the Sequester was implemented??

As many Conservatives here predicted, a 2% cut in Government spending is IMPERCEPTABLE !!!

BFD, they cut the White House tours!

Snail Mail is dead, who gives a crap if they don't deliver on Saturday? Just one less box of junk mail for me to throw away.

Sorry, Saturday mail delivery is not part of obammas 3.8T budget. (See related AP article.):

"The administration would modestly cut the annual budgets for both the Pentagon and domestic agencies while reprising ideas like higher Transportation Security Administration fees on airline tickets, the end of Saturday mail delivery and higher pension contributions for federal workers."

UPS and Fed Ex will not deliver to all U.S. addresses - that's what is known as universal delivery. Not as in deliver to the whole world, but to all Americans. UPS and FedEx only want the profitable delivery points. This idea is about 30 years old - nothing has changed.

How does any one individual decide what we "need"??

It is now the standard operating procedure of our government to misinform (lie) the public in order to achieve their goals. The USPO is nothing more than a unionized money hole and all postal service in the U.S. should be taken over by UPS and FedEx.
