Many moderate Senators, from both parties, may support some gun law restrictions, like gun shows where a felon or mental case can buy a gun, but may vote against new laws. Not because they disagree with the intent, they just know that the Obama government is a runaway bureaucracy hungry for power to abuse. Obama has shown that he has no repect for the Constituion, democracy or the American form of government. Its why he tries to rule with Executive Orders like a King. Some suggestions, such as making gray gun dealers at gun shows make the background check that are done by licensed dealers and hold them accountable for gun sales to convicted felons and mental cases. And so, that Obama has moved his administration so far to the left and has shown disdain for democracy may cause some lawmakers to oppose his proposals (in both parties) simply because he cannot be trusted. Consensus is foiled by distrust of Obama and his radical record.
