Mike, you know good and well that we draw more from the Feds than we contribute in taxes. Quit being so dishonest with your dwindling readership for the sake of promoting your political agenda.

HUD gave New York and New Jersey 16 BILLION in CDBG funds after Sandy....Those who live within a stones throw of one of the largest bodies of water on Earth are being "bailed-out" for not insuring property!

Mr. Meyer makes a good point about infrastructure in Wheeling and rightly points out that whether we believe in the Mayor and the adminsitration or not we have to admit that they are DOING things regardless of criticism. Anyone recall the plan for the shopping center in Center Wheeling. C'mon its not that long ago. Lowe's came, but the other stores that were interested, lost interest in the endless squabbling of lawyers and not in my back yard groups. Like it or not, the city is moving..where we cannot really be sure but something is happening and that is a plus. As for the City of Wheeling needing to hook water up to Bear Rock lake in Ohio County, or knock down the Benwood Bridge in Marshall County...not so sure that is on topic.
