As far as I can see, your concern is that the President(OMG!) supports and federal funds will be used. Who cares where it originates. Another conspiracy debunked lol! Why must you politicize everything. Take another six months.

I do agree with the commentator. That someone from the left would insist that what is holding back students is that they have inherited views and that they need to be part of a collective, or are a unit of the state is absurd. When Bush was in office, he was not a very good conservative according to the far right. He did not outlaw abortion, did not shut off welfare and he enacted even more gun laws after 9/11 (The Patriot Act). Now that we have a President who most think is a liberal, we are treated to rantings of the far left loons who have dreams that would make Mao smile. Like conservatives, they assume that since the country elected Obama we must now be a liberal country. We aren't. We are a moderate country with most people being conservative on some issues (defense, economy) and liberal on others (justice, gov assist.Maybe half the kids in class don't have parents who care, maybe those kids lost the desire to succeed because you don't have to work to live in America.

You might want to speak with Your Newspaper's Mr. Perry Nardo and your Executive Editor Mike Myers, about an email sent to them for their scrutiny and commentary back on 3-15-13 by our group in Parkersburg WV. It was an attempt to alert the people of WV through 8 of our State's newspapers of the very dangers you have addressed regarding Common Core Standards TOMZ ttjj at suddenlink****

Landers P. Bonenberger has always diligently alerted everyone as to why West Virginia's Legal System and West Virginia's Educational System is the envy of developing countries everywhere.

His persistant dedication to atavistic principles is a breath of fresh air in this festering world now dominated by unbridled wanton intellectual diversity.

It is with great humility and intestinal servitude that I hereby nominate Landers P. Bonenberger as the first great West Virginian to receive the very prestigious Norman Rockwell Reality Award.
