Cathy Davison is an idiot. I throw up a little every time I see her or hear her speak. The city of stupidville decimates the ranks of the police then cries when crime goes up. Get the staffing back up and if the chief can't get the town under control fire him and hire someone who can.

Please consider restructuring and downsizing people like Ms Davison. I was very shocked at the amount that this official is paid.Far, far more than the average for this county and enough to pay several police officers. When you hear someone screaming for help who are you going to call?

NATIONAL GUARD- Maybe yes--maybe no. But do something. The city Admin. isn't- The police aren't. The Sherriff is trying. All they do is point fingers.

Round up all of the gang b a n g e r s and drug dealers and execute them. Then, deport all of the welfare/Section 8/HUD to Kenya, where they can live happily ever after.

Actually, in terms of keeping order the Guard is probably better trained and equipped to do it than most law enforcement agencies, especially one from a small town like Steubenville. The editorial is off base.
