Most times when you have an addict you will find an enabler not far behind whether it is addiction to alcohol to ******. And the pain pills addicts are the ones who have relatives who say that the person addicted got that way (for years) because they hurt their back and a doctor gave them pain meds. There are bad docs and the cops are not far behind each one, but the alibi by relative and friends just helps the addict avoid owning their problem. The enablers are even more bizarre in their conduct then the addicts in many cases. And yes, a lot of times it is Mom and Dad.
