The only reason this article got printed was so the director could get some face time. She's trying to save her paid position. The Human Rights Commission is caricature of itself. Renaming city streets, getting special parking spots created and having dinner meetings at Perkin's. What does any of this have to do with human rights? They should have been concentrating on real issues like discrimination. If human rights is really a concern and a pressing issue then do something about it instead of whining about how your losing 89% of your "funding".

What exactly does this group do again? What can this group do that a good old fashioned discrimination lawsuit cannot do? WHO in the OV is having their civil rights violated? This all seems like a ploy to gather more Govt. grant money.
