Get your own journalistic ethics in order before preaching morals. Do you know how invalid you seem after pushing your GOP propaganda?

BREAKING NEWS: (I don't know if this is true or not)

There will be a special production at the Capitol Theater for West Virginia's 150th year celebration.

Only City, County and State officials can attend.

Sir Randall Reid-Smith, Congressman David McKinley and Senator Joe Manchin staring in "The Emperor's New Clothes."

"The Emperor's New Clothes" is a short tale by Hans Christian Andersen about two weavers who promise an Emperor a new suit of clothes that is invisible to those unfit for their positions, stupid, or incompetent.

When the Emperor parades before his subjects in his new clothes, a child cries out, "But he isn't wearing anything at all!"

It is so refreshing to know that the Wheeling paper is "on its toes" preaching to us proper morality.

A paper to enlighten us to the forgotten values of a long past era.

An era where business was always put before "morality."

An era where hate was always a "traditional value."

An era where one could always pull oneself up by ones bootstraps.

An era where one earned their fortune the old fashioned way, they inherited it.

An era where a person was judged not by their character but by their race, religion or economic status.

An era that was very sick, except in the mind of a few hypocritical "Teabillys."

Please give all your readers a break and put your make believe "Moral Compass" back into your make believe "good old days" back pocket."

This is simply a case of human nature which, in our personal lives, makes us unkind and self-centered, and in this case allowed these three young people to protect their murderous friends. This is the same explanation for all human shortcoming ranging from “covering for each other on a term paper” to the priest scandal in the Catholic Church.

It is not to say that an atheist can behave morally or a religious person act immorally, but the key is religion which gives society objective standards. Currently we live in a country which supports moral relativism.

We should not be looking for psychologists, sociologists, newspapers, or political parties for answers. No matter how you want to package it, we are talking about absolute ethical behavior which is laughed at across the culture as something old fashioned.

Does this mean we will start getting fair unbiased reporting from the Editors of this paper? Watch your moral compass editor. Stop pushing your right wing TeaPublican agenda. Then maybe your words will carry more weight.
