Why is it that dog owners are targeted? But people get cats and then turn them loose to be strays all over the neighborhoods.

What is it with these people who absolutely must have a dangerous breed of dog for a pet? Why must it be a pitbull? What is so special about having a pitbull? It doesn't make you tough. It doesn't raise your esteem in the eyes of anyone? Because of your selfishness an innocent dog is dead and the owner it deprived of a beloved pet, not to mention the trauma of the attack which will never be forgotten. I hope they throw the book at the owner of the pitbulls. In fact I hope they throw 2 books at them. If someone's pitbull kills one of my pets their dog will soon be on the wrong end of a 12 gauge. God forbid the owner tries to intervene. We'll bury them both in the same hole.
