The true purpose of a fine government?

"We accomplished a lot, and kept West Virginia fiscally strong," he said.

What they did not say:

Many good West Virginians suffered and had their lives ruined in the process. Just your normal unintentional damage or incidental damage affecting families, both adults and children, their homes, livelihoods and land occurring as a result of a few trying to get as rich as they can and the blazes with everything else.

BUT IT LOOKS JUST FINE IN OUR BOOKKEEPING.

ALMOST HEAVEN!

I am impressed that the guy decidedto use his experience and education to work for the good of veterans. He is a veteran and did not forget those who served as well. This may be something on his bucket list, but at least he honors military service by leaving a powerful position to try to help those who served.

But Tomblin pushed the idea of amending the state’s constitution to include the office of lieutenant governor. In 2000, the state bestowed upon the Senate president the title of lieutenant governor, but it didn’t have constitutional backing, Tomblin said. And, it still left questions he thought would best be addressed by establishing the office through constitutional amendment.

Still waiting on the constitutional amendment......and waiting.....
