Senior officials in the Treasury Department made aware in 2012

The Repubs can't just can't stand it. They want to believe this is tied to the President so badly that they will continue to waste valuable legislative time that could be put to more constructive use. Just remember, it was Dubbya's appointment under whose watch this practice began. Miller fixed the problem albeit somewhat clumsily. I watched much of the hearing. Miller was credible. The Repubs are just grasping for straws. They will come up with nothing.

David Camp (R) Michigan:

In that context, he said, the screening of Tea Party groups for special scrutiny was not the scandal itself but “just the latest example of a culture of cover-ups — and political intimidation — in this administration.”

“It seems like the truth is hidden from the American people just long enough to MAKE IT THROUGH AN ELECTION,” Mr. Camp said.

When the Barack H. Obama Foundation sought tax-exempt status to raise money for good works in Kenya, the Internal Revenue Service provided quick help.

The IRS approved charitable status for the foundation, which was run by President Obama’s brother and named after his father, in about a month’s time. The IRS also agreed to give the group this important financial status retroactively, back to 2009, when it had begun its fundraising. The 34 days the IRS’s Cincinnati office took to process the foundation’s application stands in contrast to the waits of several months — and sometimes longer than a year — that several conservative groups say they experienced with the same office. Obama has apologized, saying Americans have a right to be angry that the office improperly targeted conservative groups for extra scrutiny.

So Obama's brother was ILLEGALLY acting as tax exempt charity for 2 years and the IRS COVERED it for him!!!!

"Devereaux is among a group of activists, being represented by the American Center for Law and Justice, who are preparing to sue the federal government for the practice of targeting Tea Party groups. ACLJ Executive Director Jordan Sekulow told FoxNews he'll likely file the civil suits next Wednesday or Thursday on behalf of more than a DOZEN Tea Party groups who say they were singled out by the IRS and had their tax-exempt status severely delayed or denied altogether.

The suits, combined with congressional inquiries and an FBI probe, signal that the heated hearing on Capitol Hill Friday – with the outgoing IRS chief – was JUST THE START of a protracted legal and political battle over the scandal.

The President of the United States is the head man that runs the powerful IRS and the Treasury Dept. These two cabinet level posts are directed by the President of the USA. The Presidents Office sets the tone at the very least for the actions of members of his cabinet. If the President of the United States wants to look clean in this matter he must fire everyone at the top level. But then he will still look like a CROOK. The Nixongate power hungry illness has gotten into Obama's bloodstream. Once one gets this there is no cure.

Gee, if the far right wing extremists with their hair on fire weren't able to manufacture a new conspiracy everyday due to their hate for America and the President, maybe Americans would be able to concentrate on eliminating the real slime in DC like "One day after The White House released 100 pages of Benghazi emails, a report has surfaced alleging that Republicans released a set with altered text. CBS News reported Thursday that leaked versions sent out by the GOP last Friday had visible differences than Wednesday's official batch."

So many SCANDALS, so little TIME!!!

WASHINGTON – Americans were in danger.

That was the chief argument Attorney General Eric Holder tried to make this week for why Justice Department officials seized two months' worth of phone records of reporters and editors at The Associated Press. But the AP has strongly refuted from the start claims that it put the country in danger. The accusation that the news organization risked national security isn’t sitting so well with other journalists and lawmakers who have started pushing back on the claims.

“We held that story until the government assured us that the national security concerns had passed,” AP President Gary Pruitt said in a written response to the Justice Department's claims. A report from The Washington Post appeared to give more weight to the AP's claims. "

Barry Hussein Soetero is hanging by a thread, right now. He has been able to get out of every scandal and failure due to the fawning MSM. Unlike Clinton, however, he lacks the personal charm to get away with his misdeeds over a longer period.

Hillary is waiting in the wings. Make no mistake. Everyone is watching Barry like a hawk. If hearings start and there is even the SLIGHTEST chance that he will be impeached, look for the rats to jump ship and the knives to come out.

You will know that Barry is finished when his own party publicly turns on him. They don't want him dragging them down in the next election, a la Bush in 2008 (though Bush was a much better President and an outstanding American.)

It is crunch time for Barry. He has to know that he is in danger and that his treatment of the MSM will make them not want to cover for him any longer.

As I said, Bill Clinton could get away with it because he had a certain charm. Barry has ZERO personality.

Calling the President by the make-up name, as duwhop and raghead do, makes one wonderwhy these people don't leave. Like limpballs said he would do. They are a small fraction of what the general population of what this country is about. They claim the elections are rigged, by 6 million votes and a commanding electoral vote. They praise a man that led us into unfounded wars by lies. They praise a man that was selected, not elected. Wow! They really hate democracy when it doesn't go their way. Yet, another wonderwhy........

Apparently, you are unaware that Rush earns $50 million per year and that the money issues at Clear Channel are a result of a debt that load that more than doubled, to $16 billion, due to a leveraged buyout?

You are aware that Clear Channel obviously makes a profit off him or they wouldn't pay him, right?

I know that liberals lack logic or critical thinking skills but even the braindead Democrats should know that, if you pay someone $50 million, they need to generate MORE than $50 million in order for you to pay them!

BTW, Rush earns more in 1 year of radio work than all liberal radio talkers have earned, combined, in their entire, miserable, pathetic careers.

Advertisers buy spots. This money goes to Clear Channel. Clear Channel then pays Rush. Clear Channel has done a good job of getting its' debt load in order and so I think that the cash flow from Rush is something that they appreciate.
