"Is it going to anger some people? Yes," Wheeling Deputy Police Chief Martin Kimball told our reporter. But, he added, "That's the world we live in these days."

Would someone please "educate" me on when the World was a "safe Place"? Thanks!

Yes, Thats the world we live in today. But, We and some other countries have made it that way. Can we cahnge it? NO! The best defense is still a good offense. Don't hunker down and hide. Let the gov get rid of the evils that threaten us, that is if they are not afraid if stepping on toes. Everything today has to be pollically correct, at least in this country.

Sad but true this is the world we live in. These events are erratic and not likely to be done in the same way. With the recent marathon, it doesnt mean that the next will be a marathon, it may be an amusement park, a college graduation, etc. I would guess that the evils that think about this kind of thing also are good at taking us by surprise. Most of what we worry about never happens. The things that happen we are caught off guard for. I dont think that is preventable. We must find our faith when they do happen. As for the race, God Bless our PD and othersfor being cautious.

"Some will tell you U.S. foreign policy is to blame. ..... Why should we be surprised if militant Muslims turn to violence?......That's sickening, in a way. ..... And second, what possible excuse is there for killing and maiming people - including children - by the thousands for no reason other than to terrorize Americans?"

The conservative estimate is 100-200 thousand innocent people, including children, were killed because we invaded Iraq. Most all of them were Muslim. Think about it!! If the number of dead innocent people are the way to keep score, I'd say we're winning.
