After reading this headline, are there still any questions at all about the political leanings and political slant of this "news"paper?

With the recent disclosure of the IRS scrutiny of conservative groups, this confession takes a lot of guts by the doctor. Looks like he'll be set for an AUDIT soon. LOL

Political leanings are one thing, but innacurate reporting is another. The electronic health record requirement is part of the stimulus package and not the "Obamacare" bill.

So MOVmatt, you’re saying Obamacare AND Obama’s stimulus package are BOTH destroying healthcare in America. Figures. Can your Choomer in Chief get ANYTHING right?

Instead of blaming the government, he should have planned better for the future of his practice and his patients. ....i think sometime in the past 25 years the office might have upgraded to having a computer...

Shame on the UnIntelligencer editor. America voted for the Affordable Healthcare Act. You lost. And REALLY? " included gardens, an outdoor terrace complete with fountain, and skylights and a fireplace in the waiting room.", but no computer? Something sounds really fishy bout this story. To all you haters out there. Most 1%ers are Drs. Do for this bozo to make his retirement seem like so great political statement doesn't surprise an intelligent person one bit. He should be ashamed to leave his patients, he cares so much for, records on a box in the back room.

not everyone NEEDS a puter... most of you are missing the point. It's called Private Practice. I know several very good Drs. that are calling it done, with the Obama laws the reason they state. Private Practice will soon be gone along with many great Drs. These are independent business men and women that are just not going to put up with all the Govt. BS

No! He is a liar! Obama said that ObamaCare would make health care cheaper! He said you could keep your doctor! He said it would help another 40 million Americans (and 30 million illegals) have health care! He said that adding 70 million new patients and 0 new doctors would not be a problem!

How dare you report the facts! You are just racists! The NR is obviously a Facist Tea Bagger paper! They don't support Obama's lies (I mean, truth). They are haters!

Shut up and don't post facts here, you racists! ObamaCare is good for you! We are not a Republic, we are a Democracy, where 51 people can vote to strip 49 of their rights! You lost! That means that those who voted for Obama wanted ObamaCare and $1 trillion annual deficits and no legally required budget and no solutions to anything!

Haters!

"I don't want to retire, but I cannot afford Obamacare. To be able to operate under Obamacare I will need to computerize my patient records which would mean hiring at least two more people and cost more than $40,000 plus upkeep."

Really Doc?

April 2004 "WASHINGTON – President George W. Bush continued to demonstrate his commitment to improving the nation's healthcare information technology today, calling for widespread adoption of electronic health records in 10 years, doubling funding to $100 million for demonstration projects on healthcare IT, and creating a new sub-Cabinet position of National Health Information Coordinator."

If you want to know what right wing extremist are up to, look at what they accuse others of doing.

You left wing liberal morons have NO idea what this means. Obamaocare requires doctors to record patients' treatments in an electronic medical database and monitors doctors' decisions. "Dr. David Blumenthal, the Obama administration's National Coordinator of Health Information Technology, explained in the New England Journal of Medicine last April that "embedded clinical decision support"—his euphemism for computers telling doctors what to do—will manage the quality of doctors' decisions." So INSTEAD of your doctor making your treatment decisions, your medical records will be analyzed via an algorithm that will dictate the treatment plan. HAHAHA - I cannot wait for you to find out that before, you could get XYZ at your doctor but now, you will get big "GOOSE-EGG". If it is so great, why is Congress trying to exempt itself?

Obamacaare is nothing more than the tip of the iceburg for this administration. It wants the government to run everything. This administration and all the people in it are a disgrace to this country. It is the most corrupt, lying, and abusive presidency we'eve ever seen.

Liberal Idiots, Obamacare is more unpopular than EVER!!

Monday, May 06, 2013

President Obama’s health care law is more unpopular than it has been for months.

Just 39% of Likely U.S. Voters now view the law at least somewhat favorably, while 55% share an unfavorable opinion of it, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey. This includes 14% with a Very Favorable view and 40% with a Very Unfavorable one.

America did NOT vote on Obamacare, Coughy, if they DID it would NOT EXIST!

He is the NORMAL not the exception:

"American doctors are increasingly concerned about changes already implemented or coming to the health-care system, and some are opting to retire sooner than planned.

Deloitte’s 2013 survey of U.S. physicians found 57% doctors view changes in the industry under the Affordable Care Act as a threat, and six in 10 physicians report it’s likely that many will retire earlier than planned in the next two to three years. This trend could cause more widespread issues in the health-care system that is already coping with doctor and nurse shortages in some areas of the country.

The survey found these numbers to be fairly uniform among all doctors regardless of age, gender or medical specialty.

6 in 10 will RETIRE rather than deal with it???? WTF is WRONG with you idiots who support Obamacare?

The doctor is quite right. Why at 72 should he expand his practice and take on an additional debt load to satisfy the incompetence of an anti-American Islamic community organizer who with malice and forethought is destroying our nation?

Dr. Ventosa is either a greedy businessman who happens to be a physician or a doctor who has a valid opinion of the future of health care. Either way, he is out of practice and my guess is that there will not be many young docs to fill the void.

This is part of the "CHANGE" that many Drs. do not want to be a part of. It is still their right to quit anytime they want. Funny how so many on the left just can't understand these fine people just don't want or NEED the Govt. telling them how to run every detail of Their Practice.

Sure, Rover. You and Barry Bankrupter know best when it comes to how a private medical practice needs to keep its records. LOL

Sure, olewillie, all those physicians are just “greedy little nits.” Besides all the unnecessary and costly Obama regime’s micromanagement, no wonder they’re ready to give up practicing considering all the appreciation you freeloading liberals give them for keeping you alive and healthy for so long.

I’d have dropped both your sorry azzez long ago. LOL

oldman, try to figure out which party controlled BOTH chambers of Congress AND the White House for Obama’s first TWO FULL YEARS without ONCE fixing the deficit as he promised. And in the fifth year of the Obama debacle you loons are still babbling “but BUSH!” to explain your failures? Pathetic, Dems.

Elections have consequences. One of those consequences is RESPONSIBILITY. Man up, libbies. “But Bush” is long past disgusting as a sorry excuse now.
