Where is the $280 million in annual sales (to generate an 0.5% sales tax take of $1.4 million) coming from?

What are the figures-right now?

I think they're counting on $280 million in additional sales at the nearby Subway. Those physical therapy students like to "eat fresh."

I like the fuzzy math they use when they figured they saved money by just waiting a day. What about the fuzzy math that a 15000 raise cost Wheeling when no job offer was made and if you got a younger CM they might of save 50000 by getting a younger CM with less pension obligations too.

This is another mark against HOME RULE where cities pass a tax to help private industry and with all the fuzzy math the bottom line is the citizen ends up paying for government and private business to make a profit and pay 15000 raises as the expense is passed on to the taxpayer who is just trying to get by and not even making a profit.

Could someone explain to me how the building of a new water plant will help keep the water lines in Wheeling's deteriorating infrastructure from breaking as the article suggests???
