"...quite possibly in reaction to Obama's oft-repeated insistence that those who oppose him are, somehow, evil - and should not be tolerated."

Good grief.

Quite possibly?

Typically right wing extremist media tin foil conspiracy. Lets make something up and see if it sticks. Too bad you didn't seem so interested when a President DID sell us an unnecessary war that cost trillions and killed millions

Actually, Goosy, it was Obama’s choice for Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, and Obama’s choice for Vice President, Joe Biden, who sold me on the Iraq war.

Senator Clinton, Oct 2002 “In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including Al Qaeda members, though there is apparently no evidence of his involvement in the terrible events of September 11, 2001. It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons. Should he succeed in that endeavor, he could alter the political and security landscape of the Middle East, which as we know all too well affects American security.”

Senator Biden, Oct 2002 "Saddam is dangerous. The world would be a better place without him. But the reason he poses a growing danger to the United States and its allies is that he possesses chemical and biological weapons and is seeking, with his $2 billion a year illegally skimmed from the U.N. fund for food, his Oil for Food program, for peace program, that he is seeking nuclear weapons."

Senator Biden, Sep 1998 “I also acknowledged that a policy based on sanctions does not guarantee that Saddam Hussein's weapons program will be curtailed. Ultimately, as long as Saddam Hussein is at the helm, no inspectors can guarantee that they have rooted out the entirety of Saddam Hussein's weapons program. And I said the only way to remove Saddam is a massive military effort, led by the United States.”

Or were you referring to Afghanistan, Goosy? The war your Choomer in Chief referred to as “the right battlefield,” and which he continues to prosecute in his second term? The war that has resulted in more American casualties under Obama’s watch than under Bush’s? Barry must have thought Afghanistan to be pretty necessary to keep that war raging into his second term. Maybe he’s going to keep fighting until his critics agree he deserves that Nobel Peace Prize. LOL

one persons cross to bear is another's salvation.. the two parties running the country do one thing well.. protect the higher ups of the two parties.. Is it any wonder most citizens drop out of paying attention to them...When was the last time we had a president that actually brought the country together from his actions and kept the country united when he left office?

Don’t discourage her, Thebudman. I always get a laugh from her “Good grief ... right wing extremist ... tin foil ... conspiracy ... but BUSH!” whimpering. Liberal desperation is music to the ear.

" Lets make something up and see if it sticks."

Make something up???? Denial must the river running thru the loony left's world!!

From the NY Times, "WASHINGTON — The Internal Revenue Service official who tried to temper efforts to target conservative groups and then made the issue public will plead her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination and decline to testify at a House hearing on Wednesday."

If the scandal is "made up" why did IRS official Lois Lerner plead the fifth??

Piling on with WVEXPAT: "Lets make something up and see if it sticks." Goosy, the IRS has ADMITTED they did EVERYTHING they were accused of. INCLUDING the cover-up. It's already “stuck” without any help from the “right wing extremist media tin foil conspiracy.” Now blame Bush and make it a real screamer. LOL

The IRS didn't break any law. They were inestigating tax cheats. the people complaining are the law breakers. Put them in jail where they belong.

oldman, the IRS ADMITTED it broke the law. You’re still pleading that your cronies aren’t guilty after they already pled guilty and court was already adjourned. LOL
