If the IRS illegally audited and tapped phones, what prevents DHS or FBI from using drones on US citizens in the USA?

Just break the law a little more and a little more and little more and ....

People die in war, so it is hard to be critical of our President for using drones. That being said, I know it was a tight race between President Obama & Mother Teresa, but he is the winner in the highest body count contest of Nobel Prize winners. Him receiving that award still puzzles me.

Impeach this mess: He justifies killing Americans and refuses to kill terrorists... and now, President Obama is drawing criticism for urging the repeal of the 2001 law that effectively authorized the president to wage the war on terror after the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

the odrama camp at it again.it seems to me that just about every time we get hit by a terrorist group our government knew it was coming.the key is to protect our borders.homegrown terrorist groups seem to be influenced by non-americans.who makes the other countries hate us?it's not us commoners.

Actually myself I'm not opposed to Drones when used over seas killing Jihadist, no matter what the country of origin. That is a major problem of the US, we don't kill enough of our enemies.

If they can tap phones, what is little computer hacking crime?

When are we going to get a President who thinks the Constitution is not a piece of toilet paper to wipe their****daily???

"Obama implored Congress to close the much-maligned Guantanamo Bay detention center in Cuba". I thought he was going to do this! Besides, who cares.

Yep, why this paper is biased is because most headlines on this read like : Obama to limit Drones" Because he just took them from CIA and now proposes to limit their use exclusively by military, and people in Pak and Yemen are glad with these announcements. We will all be better off when we stop making new enemies overseas. This article does little to explain this change to the local readers, and the local readers don't seem to want anything but Obama bashing anyway... Thus, you get the headline you want/deserve.. enjoy!

joeknowsscat, explain why the government has orders for 17,000 drones for LOCAL police force??

Explain why DHS needs 2.1 BILLION bullets, enough to fight the Afghanistan war for 24 years, for use in "Domestic purposes"??

Tell us why FEMA is building emergency "camps" around the country to contain up to 500,000 citizens?

A system where people FEAR their government is called a Tyranny.

A system where the GOVERNMENT fears its CITIZENS is called a Democracy.

Do Do, explain why we have 25,000 nuclear bombs. How many times could we destroy the entire planet? Who made the money on these? How much are we spending to maintain them?

old_consipated_man, get some facts before you dare address me, knave!

Reuters. Retrieved 2010-05-03.

"In 2010 the United States maintained an arsenal of 5,113 warheads and facilities for their construction and design."

They cost a fraction of the amount of money this country has spent on WELFARE and the WAR on POVERTY and what do we have to show for either?

In the case of weapons, WAS any country EVER get attacked because it was TOO STRONG? Nah!

The war on Poverty,we have spent an amount equal to the US GDP = about $16 TRILLION since 1964.

ReSULTS: MORE people on poverty, higher percentage on poverty, MORE on foodstamps than ever in history and 11,250 MORE every day.

DEFENSE: WIN!

POVERTY: FAIL!
