They expect to raise $1.4 million from an additional 0.5% tax increase. Do the math and this comes to $280 million.

Are there $280 million in non-real estate sales each year in Wheeling?

Can someone please provide PROOF, EVIDENCE or TAX INFORMATION?

Did you know that WV was the first state to impose a sales tax? Yes, sales taxes were INVENTED in WV.

Shocking!

If government would think about cutting taxes they might get the economy moving forward. But, Wheeling is using taxes for higher wages for government because they think they are the private sector.. Time to vote that taxes are for the basics not for city officials to act like they have unlimited money for raises and for special pet projects.

I work in St. Clairsville, Ohio and pay 31.00 dollars per pay to work in the city! Why don't we have a tax like that in our city?
