20 years for a premeditated murder of an innocent human being?

A guy crashes an airplane with 250 keys of pure blow, evades federal marshalls for 4 years and gets a 7 year bit at a minimum security camp?

Another guy rapes a 10-year boy and also the family cat and gets 24-36 months in jail?

What is this world coming to?

Start executing these people within 1 year of conviction. Go back to public hanging and sell pay per view tickets for the benefit of the victim and/or their family.

Incredible story of depraved youth.

Makes one wonder how effed up our youth are playing violent video games, spending there life tweeting and facebooking and such.

They can't tell the virtual world from the real world to think they can get away with killing another human being.

Ragner- You are right. Of course, the do-gooders will use the excuse of bad home life, bad up bringing, mother/father raped them. Anything, except that they are just plain bad people.

Its another indicator, as was New Town and Aurora, that we have a violent culture, particularly youth culture where murder is seen as nothing much other than great solution to a problem. As the Obama types exploited Aurora/Newtown to tell us that guns are the sole cause of violence on earth, we see time after time that the people who commit these hideous crimes are not bound to guns, they are products of a bizarre, media fueled violent culture. When Matt Damon, the flaming lib, talks about gun violence one cannot help but wonder how much money did he make with the Bourne movies, where he killed almost non stop in them? The Biden Commission declined to talk about a violent culture, they just wanted to talk about guns. And yet ******** are not committing these crimes, city kids, in gangs and suburbs, are doing them. Why talk about guns in Nebraska? Political opportunity for crass politicians to exploit us even in death!

I think this is becoming more common in a society where anything goes. The shock is becoming less and less when we hear of these tragadies. I think it is a result of generations of parents pushing their kids to be the best and have the most even when it is not afforded. It has increased jelousy of others who appear to have more and attacks on others who seem weak. Media may play a role, but the parents are raising these brats that are self centered, greedy, and mean spirited without conscience. The numbers are increasing. I dont see any indication of it getting better either.

Lack of respect for human life has been a growth industry since Roe vs Wade. Add in the drug culture and lack of moral compass teachings and here we are. In the 21st century with all kinds of media and instant information. But few are learning the art of writing, conversation, and thinking of why mankind is here in the 1st. place. For many they are here for instant gratification only.
