I'm wondering what the editors at Wheeling Intelligencer are smoking these days. Generally I don't find their editorials too offensive but thinking Caperton would be an attractive choice for US senate seat goes beyond insane. Thankfully we have term limits for the governor's office and was able to get rid of him after 8 years, not so with the senate seat.

Caperton is a nice enough person, but he is a Charleston homer through and through. He ripped off hundreds of jobs in Moundsville and relocated them to his cousin's farm east of Charleston. He would do next to nothing for the Ohio Valley.

Caperton stood-up to the teacher unions? Short memory for a news reporter! In 1990 the WV teachers went on strike, demanded and received $5,000 raises over the next 3 years!
