North Dakota has natural resources, too but has only recently started to profit from them. Yet, they are not broke and, in fact, are discussing the idea of eliminating one or more taxes (income or property).

Why? Because North Dakota is a hardworking, conservative state that understands reality and is not dominated by unions and plaintiffs attorneys.

it's still hard for me to understand how a state with such a huge amount of natural resources being harvested can still be broke.we have what everybody wants.

This paper has been arguing that Kiss, Tomblin, Mojo, Caperton and the gang have been fiscal conservatives and good for the state....Thank goodness our recent politicians have not been big goberment spenders!!!
