re the windows: a great deal of attention has been focused on making WVIH period correct. The addition of an 1890s(vs 1860s) era chandelier is not appropriate to the venue. It should be at Oglebay in their glass collection.

cigar: WVIH is the only historical venue that has actually worked in Wheeling despite the tens of millions spent elsewhere. Randall has done a lot for the place. He needs more control-not less- actually; away from the locals and the local manager who is not a qualified Civil War expert as he should be.

One wonders what the delegates will think of the desolate, run down look of Downtown Wheeling these days? WVIH however-due to Randall/WVDCH-is a showplace. Yet across Market Street is less than appealing. The City radiates decay.
