oldazzwipe, only ONE president or vice president in the last 50 years did NOT put his personal assets in a trust fund when becoming the president.

That man was Barack Insane Obama.

He invested in Solyndra and then invested the TAXPAYERS money in Solyndra, and LOST EVERYTHING!

You effing Messiah should be in prison for that breach of trust alone.

Is state business done on "verbal" contracts?

"Under a verbal contract change agreed to in 1999, the state switched to paying the company based on the prison's average daily population, rather than the number of meals actually served."

Did anyone go to prison?

How can they feed prisoners three squares on $3.61 per day when the taxpayers paid $16 PER PLATE for our soldiers in Iraq?

Make the prisoners work in farming, dairy, butchering, clothing manufacturing, building trades, etc. This will give the prisoners something to do, teach them a trade, help them to be self-sufficient and save tax dollars.

Or just free the d r u g users and kill all murderers, child molesters, armed robbers, rapists and d r u g dealers.

"Private Food Service companies are nothing but trouble. They scam, skim, and steal from the state." So, what's new? If operated by the state you have suppliers wanting to get their products/services in and are paying kick-backs to state personnel; if operated by a private company, you have this company paying kick-backs to state personnel; nothing changes. Best part of the story is the finding of jobs within the system for the food service employees no longer needed. Woe be that the state would ever lay some people it no longer needs off.
